Beginning as a series of comics in 1958, the beloved forest-dwelling Smurfs and their tales of bold adventures have been adored around the world as animated series, movies, toys, video games, theme parks and more. There are more than 100 Smurf characters and their names are based on adjectives that emphasize their characteristics.
