If an Eevee with high friendship with its Trainer levels up under the light of the moon, its genetic structure can be altered, resulting in it evolving into Umbreon. As a nocturnal Pokemon, Umbreon is in its element under the cover of darkness. Its yellow rings glow when moonlight shines upon them, filling Umbreon with a mysterious energy.
