Pinocchio’s story begins with a kindly woodworker’s wish upon a falling star that the little wooden puppet could come to life. To his joy, his wish is granted, and Pinocchio must prove himself brave, truthful and unselfish to become a real boy. After being led astray by seemingly trustworthy characters, Pinocchio winds up locked inside a cage in the caravan of traveling puppeteer, Stromboli. All hope seems lost until the Blue Fairy appears. Pinocchio, fearing his chance of becoming a real boy would be hindered, begins lying about what happened. With each fib, his nose grows, sprouting leaves, flowers and even a nest of birds!
On the front design of this bag, Pinoke’s nose takes the stage, complete with bluebirds and embroidered flowers as the little wooden boy looks on in shock. On the back, his appointed conscience, Jiminy Cricket, strikes a proud pose. Inside, the bag boasts two storage compartments as well as a Pinocchio-themed print. The print matches the silk-like bow of the removable handle, which can be switched out for an adjustable shoulder strap.
