He began his career as a member of The Parliaments in the 1960s before founding his own group, Parliament-Funkadelic, which became known for its innovative and eclectic mix of funk, rock, and psychedelic music. Clinton's contributions to funk music include his use of elaborate costumes, theatrical performances, and his unique brand of humour.
