Every year, a horde of grasshoppers extort food from a colony of ants. One day, the ants' annual offering is inadvertently destroyed and the grasshoppers demand twice as much as compensation. Desperate to save his colony from oppression, an ant named Flik heads to the big city and seeks out a group of āwarriorā bugs that turn out to be an inept circus troupe.
